What can I expect?
Microdermabrasion is a safe treatment. Following the treatment you may experience slight redness which will disappear in a few hours. The skin will feel soft & silky and may peel slightly. The treatment is easily performed within 30 minutes and normally there is no down time from a SilkPeel Microdermabrasion. Activity can be resumed immediately. It is very important to use sunscreen conscientiously.
How long do the effects last?
You will see visible results after the first treatment. You will achieve optimal results after 4 to 6 treatments spaced 2 weeks apart and supplemented by a daily post-care routine. After your series of microdermabrasions, a monthly maintenance treatment will help your skin stay healthy. Often times these treatments are alternated with chemical peels.
